Professionals who have two years or more of tile setting experience can take both a written and hands on test administered by the CTEF (Ceramic Tile Education Foundation).
The hands on exam requires installers to pass a series of tests that exhibit their skill at setting backer board, tile floors, tile walls, accuracy of tile setting, grout application, and more.
